Meet Your Instructor
WALTER BOHOLST
He has been a licensed Florida attorney and business consultant since 1999 and has overseen legal delivery on thousands of film and TV titles since 2008. He his clients have included AMC Networks, Paramount Pictures, Electric Entertainment, Sphere Abacus, Epic Pictures Group, and XYZ Films amongst many others.
After stints at MGM Pictures Creative Affairs and Universal Music Group, Walter spent eight years combined as in-house counsel for Rhino Entertainment/Warner Music Group and RLJ Entertainment fka Image Entertainment. From there he and his team have delivered to almost every major film distributor on the planet.
He has been a featured guest speaker for the University of Miami School of Film, the Film Development Council of the Philippines, The Scripwriter's Network, and The University of Florida Asian Student Union, amongst many others.
He’s also a lifelong filmmaker who’s written and directed feature films. He’s an alum of the University of Florida and the University of Miami School of Law and is active in the Filipino and Asian American communities.

Walter spent five years in music legal & business affairs for Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group, and he’s a lifelong filmmaker who’s written and directed feature films. He’s an alum of the University of Florida and the University of Miami School of Law and is active in the Filipino and Asian American communities.

Do I need any prior legal experience?

Do you answer questions about the forms?
We can only provide information on how to fill out the forms and basic product information. We cannot provide legal advice. We are not a law firm and we are not your attorney.
Will this take the place of a lawyer?
No. We are not a law firm nor do we provide legal advice. We suggest you retain a lawyer if you want expert legal advice tailored to your specific situation. But if you want basic education and tools to maximize your budget you can start here. You can always get a lawyer if you need one for complex situations or you run out of time.
Why can't I just use AI for my forms?
AI hallucinates and provides incorrect info. It also partially bases it's results on what it can find on the web which includes horribly drafted contracts, school assignments which are intentionally incorrect, and outdated information. Lawyers don't post their clients contracts online. By definition, the industry is confidential. The best contracts are ones that real human attorneys use, tweak, and revise as they use them. As with any AI material, you take your chances with an AI that's trying to replicate what a human does. It's up to you but you could lose everything.
If I want someone to make sure I'm doing this right who can I hire to do that?
